  Charlie has been playing the harmonica professionally for over 35 years. He studied music at Kingsborough College, N.Y.C.

He performed with the Palace Theater Orchestra on Broadway, N.Y.C.  for two years in  the Tony Award Winning Broadway musical "The Will Rogers Follies"


 In addition to teaching his very popular "Harmonikidz" harmonica program In the Schools, Charlie is a much sought after studio musician and  performs as a harmonica / jaw harp player in numerous musical theater productions Throughout the USA.


 
He is especially well known for his soulful harmonica work in the Tony Award Winning Musical
"Big River, The  Adventures Of Huckelberry Finn."

 
Charlie's performed harmonica alongside Keith Carradine, Larry Gatlin, Mac Davis, Mickey Rooney and Dominick Chianese (Uncle Junior-Sopranos.)

 He has also shared the stage with The Judds, Alabama, George Strait, Randy Travis and The Charlie Daniel's Band.

 He has recorded for film soundtracks and played on numerous radio and television commercials.

In 1983, He instituded the Blues Harmonica program at The New School For Social Research, N.Y.C.

 In 1989, Charlie appeared as a featured harmonica playing cowboy in a National Mcdonald's television commercial.

 
In 1990, He Performed at Madison Square Garden, N.Y.C.

 Charlie is a recipent of a North Carolina Regional Artist Grant and is a member of "The American Society Of Composers, Authors and Publishers."

 He is listed on both the North and South Carolina State Arts Council's approved artists rosters for schools.
  
 
Since 1996, He has been the "Regular" harmonica 
player for  The State Theater Of North Carolina. Flat Rock Playhouse His hot country  licks and sweet chromatic Playing have added a great flavor to many shows there.

*He last performed there in the classic musical "Seven Brides For Seven Brothers" July 21 - Aug 16 2009.

 Charlie reads music and plays all styles on both Chromatic and Diatonic harmonica. He is available for Recording  Sessions and Musical Theater Wo

 He is hoping to have a CD of Traditional C
eltic Duets along with a CD of Jazz Standards on Chromatic Harmonica available in the near future.
